Having a title keeps you pretty busy! What is a typical day like for you? I have been very busy. I work a 40+ hour week in nursing. Then weekends are waking up around 8am so I am at a fashion show around 9am for hair an makeup an rehearsal.

What has been the highlight of having your title so far?
All of the wonderful opportunities: Modeling in Fashion shows, photo shoots, attending charity events, interviews and many other appearances as Ms Woman Maryland.

What are some of your best beauty secrets to looking flawless all the time?
Lol, getting enough rest. I try to get at least 8 hours of sleep a month a night.  It is not always easy.

Growing up, who was your inspiration?
My dad. He is a psychiatrist. So growing up, I always wanted to be a doctor. Once I entered college I realized I had a passion for health care, but not for being a medical doctor.

Lady Code has a focus on anti-bullying and women empowerment. Do you have any advice for our readers who may be victims of bullying?
Please let someone know. Your parents your teachers or someone you trust. Don’t try to deal with this alone. You need other to help you put a stop to bullying.

Tell us about your platform:
I am an advocate for children who were victims of child sex trafficking. I help mentor an transport them to their meetings.

What can Lady Code readers do in their communities to get involved?
Educate yourself on trafficking. Know the signs so you can protect your kids.

In your free time, what do you enjoy doing?
Sleeping. I never feel like I get enough sleep.I also like to travel.

What is one thing you can’t live without?
My cellphone. I use it for everything. To communicate to others, Internet, my calendar and business related tasks.

What is the hardest part about competing in pageants?
Standing on stage an speaking to a crowd of people. I get so nervous.

What is the best advice you have ever received? Changing your perspective  can transform your life.
